Clink saves each audio source as its own track in the clip, so you can mix them later or drop one when you trim. Choose tracks on the Capture tab, in the AUDIO TRACKS card. Each track is stored as AAC at 192 kbps.

Mix

Mix is always the first track and can't be turned off. It combines game, mic and voice chat, so every player hears everything. Voice chat is in the Mix even when its own Voice chat track is off. Desktop sound is never part of the Mix. In the trim window the Mix row is labelled "All audio (mix)".

Game

Game records the sound of the detected game. Its source starts at Auto (fullscreen app). Until Clink detects a game, it records everything except your voice app. Game audio is captured per program, which needs Windows 10 version 2004 (build 19041) or later, the minimum Clink supports.

Mic

Mic records your microphone. The source starts at Default microphone, which follows the Windows default. Pick another device from the list if you want a specific one.

Voice chat

Voice chat keeps your voice app as a separate track. With the source on automatic, Clink uses the first of Discord, TeamSpeak, Slack, Mumble, Zoom or Skype that it finds running. If you leave it off, the voice app is still heard in the Mix, but you can't change its level on its own when you trim.

Desktop

Desktop records everything from an output device, or an audio input such as a Wave Link or VoiceMeeter mix. It uses the default output unless you choose another device.

Check what is being captured

A line under the tracks says what each track is capturing, or why it isn't. On first use a "Set up your audio" banner points out the card.
